Missed-call recovery with a clear callback outcome

A missed call can trigger a useful follow-up only when the business knows which number called, why a callback is appropriate, and what the agent may do. Truvoca can reconnect under approved rules, capture the request, and route or record the next step.

Why this workflow needs clear boundaries

A phone log contains a number, not automatic permission or useful context. Calls may be duplicates, spam, wrong numbers, abandoned quickly, or linked to a sensitive request. The workflow needs eligibility, timing, identity, retry, suppression, and fallback rules.

How the workflow runs

  1. Receive the missed-call event and available source context
  2. Check eligibility, duplicate, suppression, timing, and attempt rules
  3. Return the call with approved identity and purpose
  4. Capture the reason, requested next step, and exception signals
  5. Record the outcome or create the tested team route

Rules and exceptions

  • Do not call back every number by default
  • Apply the customer's consent and jurisdiction rules
  • Avoid exposing sensitive context before identity is handled
  • Stop retries after opt-out, wrong number, expiration, or attempt limit
  • Use approved wording when no context exists

Systems and data

The flow may read the missed-call timestamp, called line, location, prior customer match, and queue context. It may write a callback disposition, new request, lead record, notification, or suppression result after mapping and validation.

What to bring to a demo

Bring a missed-call event, phone platform, business-hour rules, expected reasons, retry policy, and the systems where the recovered request should land.

FAQ

FAQ

Does Truvoca call back every missed number?

No. The implementation needs eligibility rules for spam, duplicates, blocked or invalid numbers, sensitive lines, prior opt-outs, time windows, and other exclusions.

How quickly does the callback happen?

Timing is configurable only after trigger reliability, operational capacity, consent, calling-time rules, and duplicate behavior are reviewed. Do not publish a universal speed claim.

What if the caller reaches the business another way?

Duplicate and reconciliation logic should check available events or records and stop an unnecessary callback when the request has already been handled.

Can the agent create a new lead or service request?

Potentially, after required fields, validation, ownership, duplicate behavior, write permissions, and failure recovery are verified.

Can it leave voicemail?

Voicemail requires approved content, identity, privacy, consent, opt-out, retry, and jurisdiction rules. It is not a default promise.

Is a missed call always consent to an AI callback?

Do not assume a universal answer. The customer and qualified counsel should define callback eligibility for the purpose, technology, number, jurisdiction, and source context.
